Connect Claude to viralshooter and ask your first question.
viralshooter tracks what is going viral on YouTube's charts in 20 regions. Once you connect it to Claude, you can ask Claude about trending videos, channels and hashtags in your own words.
In this tutorial, you connect Claude and ask your first question. It takes about two minutes.
You need:
- A Claude account, on any plan. The free plan allows one custom connector, so if you already use one, remove it first or use a paid plan.
- A Google account. You don't need to sign up for viralshooter first: your account is created the first time you sign in. It's free during early access.
Copy the instructions
This text is written for Claude, so you don't need to understand it. Copy it:
Add viralshooter to Claude for me. Name: viralshooter URL: https://mcp-staging.viralshooter.com/mcp Sign-in: Google (OAuth), no API key. If you can’t add it yourself, walk me through it one step at a time: 1. Open Customize → Connectors (on claude.ai or in the Claude app). 2. Click + Add → Add custom connector. 3. Name: viralshooter. URL: https://mcp-staging.viralshooter.com/mcp. Click Add. 4. Click Connect, sign in with Google and click Allow.
Paste it into Claude
On claude.ai or in the Claude desktop app, open a new chat, paste the text and send it. Claude walks you through a few clicks in its settings.
Sign in
When a viralshooter page opens, sign in with Google and click Allow.
Ask your first question
Open a new chat and ask:
Using viralshooter, what are the top shorts in Korea right now?
Claude answers with videos from the charts, with a link to each one. Starting with "Using viralshooter" makes sure Claude uses it.
viralshooter now also works in the Claude app on your phone.
